2022 MileSplit IL Team Power Rankings-Week 1

2A Girls

1. Kankakee

-It is the Kays whose body of work led to opening the season in the top spot. Freshman Naomi Bey-Osborne and Neveah Lowe appear to be the individuals Kankakee will lean on in the sprints and as part of relays.

U-High presents a strong case as well. Led by all-stater Anna Barr and her classification leading performances in the 60H and 200m, the Pioneer's main focus has been on individual events in the distances and field. Look for them to put some relays together as we approach Top Times later this month.

Peoria Richwoods appears to be a strong team in this early portion, Mia Jackson (60h and 200m) and Larissa Sager (TJ) are key individuals leading this squad.

Lindblom's dynamic duo of Kennedy Ross and Symone Frison, who leads the classification in the triple jump and 60m respectively adds the Eagles to the top five.

Last year's third-place team Rosary rounds out the top five, Libby Saloga (PV) and Lianna Surtz (distance) are back and ready to aim for a higher trophy.
